The elusive space of Inner Peace.

Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do and something you give away.”

Finding your own Sacred Space.

Every moment in silence opens the door to inner peace. No matter how elusive and how far we might feel we are from it, peace can be felt and noticed as a pause, a reduction in mind chatter, a rest from distractions. Others fail to describe it with labels and expectations or even by using their own personal experience.  This is because inner peace is already present, waiting for you to recognize it.

Your unique version of inner peace will make itself known to you.

Find it in surprising places. Be present and feel into each moment. Go with the flow of your body’s own movements. Feel peace sweep through you as others around you exhibit emotional instability and restlessness. Observe you in the middle of a storm.  Trust your inner voice and ground yourself in light energy.

To find inner peace, you don’t always need to be secluded or in meditation. Your life can be a form of meditation; mindful, focused and relaxed. If you make a conscious effort to step into your preferred sacred space, the quest to find the elusive state of inner peace will be realized more often.

Receiving inner communication.

Follow your intuition. Listen to your heart’s guidance. We can confuse our mind with our heart when we don’t pay attention to how we feel.

Erase the cruel pull of the past and its mistakes. Ignore the distraction of mourning a life un-lived. Cut-off worry, doubt or fear.  Instead move your attention to gaining strength and momentum. Step into the peace zone and create from a zero point energy position. Reclaim your power in the place of inner peace. No matter how fleeting it is, inner peace is our path to freedom.

The mental sanctuary of inner peace.

Silence and pauses may offer us whispers of peace but creating a mental sanctuary for inner peace is a life skill and a necessity.

How do we create one?

Close your eyes and imagine your favourite place. Is it sitting on a lounge chair on a tropical beach? Is it listening to the crackling of a fireplace in a mountain cabin? Is it walking through an ancient forest, trails laden with moss and the scent of cedar in the air?

Find your happy place. And, if necessary, connect this special place to a wonderful memory to gather more details of what it feels like to be there.  Sit in this for a moment and breathe deeply.

Now inside your mind, imagine a large doorway materializing in front of you.  It can be a holographic-like one.  When you are ready to end your session, step through it.  And, as you step through it, open your eyes.

You have created your own mental sanctuary. Whenever you feel stressed, just close your eyes and revisit this place, even for as little as 30 seconds. And, step out whenever you want to through a doorway as you open your eyes.

"The best fighter is never angry."

Inner peace doesn’t need to be elusive. Find your way there with small mindful steps, time-out sessions, moments of silence and by creating a mental sanctuary that will help you to create inner peace that is recognizable to you.

Appreciating that inner peace is personal will set you free from limiting structures.  Allow your inner communication to tell you what it needs. It will enable you to find the best expression and path to inner peace for you.
