Creating space for Inner Peace.

Stepping into the Moment.

When we are over-run with distractions, we are prevented from being able to focus. We aren’t able to make decisions from an empowered state and we open ourselves to manipulative energies that can influence our perception. 

Take back your power by allowing a small pause. One meditation technique is to take in a breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Pay attention to the feeling of the air travelling through your nose and feel it move through your lips as you breathe out. Immediately you become more present. You can align your thoughts with the present and select how you want to respond to the next task. You will also see yourself standing in the middle of energies that are competing for your attention.  The simple act of taking a conscious breath in and out helps you to “snap out of” the energetic battle and make more powerful decisions. 

Sometimes, chaos wants your reaction, your emotional response and your actions without deliberate choice. Being swept into the panic of the crowd is an example. Instead, allow space for inner peace. It will place you in the eye of the storm, not at the peril of your emotions and external energies that may not be sound or in your best interest. 

The Power of Mental snapshots.

It is possible to create inner peace with mental snapshots. These are memories and images that invoke happy, calming and grounding states. Visualize your happy places. It can be a cabin at the lake, a beach, a forest dusted with snow or a campfire. These memories and images are powerful messengers that place you in a state to recognize and cultivate inner peace.

When we are being challenged by negative conditions and people, these snapshots are gateways to reflection, a deliberate pause and to moments that catalyze an energetic re-set. These are energetic conduits to inner peace. 

"You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic. If words can control you it means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow everything to pass."

This holiday season is a time of year for gatherings and reflection. But regardless of place and time, it is possible to create space for inner peace. It is a place of personal power that no person can touch. You can move forward in all conditions with an empowered mindset. Let inner peace be your point of power, your place to listen for divine guidance and to enable an energetic reset,
