Silence is essential. We need silence, just as much as we need air, just as much as plants need light. If our minds are crowded with words and thoughts, there is no space for us.
Thich Nhat Hanh
Allowing Space.
Allowing space to receive divine insight, intuitive guidance and time to re-set a distracted mind moves beyond meditation. It is a life skill that is crucial for mental health and for self-empowerment. Time-out in silence offers your entire being space to rest, to re-boot and to re-calibrate your energy. It doesn’t have to be for long. Just 30 seconds of “pause” will enable you to find clarity and focus.
Don’t be fooled by thinking silence is an empty state. It is a place of enhanced awareness. In fact, your seat of power dwells in this sacred space. Change your perspective on silence and allow space for it in your day. It will serve you well.
Meditate in your heart and be still.
Psalm 4:4
Cultivating Inner Freedom.
Unlock your inner freedom. All you have to do is create it and imagine it. Sanctuaries and sacred spaces can be imagined and saved to memory and retrieved whenever an inner retreat is needed.
Catalyze sacred spaces by including silence in your day. Step into the silence and your own mental sanctuary. For example , imagine the feeling of being in a cabin by the lake, listening to the wind move through the trees. See yourself sit on the porch and observe the night sky lit up with stars.
This isn’t about escaping reality. It is about relaxing the mind, body and spirit and cultivating a sense of freedom, when you have conditions that challenge you to feel unmoored.
Move powerfully in silence and create rest, focus and freedom. You have the power to choose silence and inner peace.
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
Viktor E. Frankl
Lighting the way.
Meditations with light are powerful for sweeping your energy centres clean from negative energy. But they cannot begin until you choose to step into the silence and visualize light. Use your breath to relax and stay open to divine guidance. Silence is the spark for divine conversations and new insights. Just trust your friendship with silence. Make thoughts and reflections your best companions.
Her own thoughts and reflections were habitually her best companions.
Jane Austen
Silence is a powerful place to be, whether it is used as a gateway to higher awareness in meditation or by using it as a platform for creating a sacred space for mental clarity.
Observe the space between thoughts. Silence speaks louder that you realize, if you give it space to communicate.
