Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.”
Saint Francis de Sales
Resting in the Eye of the Storm.
Step into your place of power. Rest in the middle of a storm by stepping into “observation” mode. Give yourself more power by noticing what is happening around you. This isn’t an escape from reality. It is a powerful strategy to quietly move into a more peaceful place.
Let energies of conflict, fear and overwhelm fall aside and focus on the tasks in front of you. Small moves will change mountains.
Giants that loom over us and within us will pause as we move our attention away from them. It gives us a chance to find inner peace and create a powerful buffer zone, like standing in the eye of a storm.
The Pull to React.
Distractions. Panic states. The fear of others and just, overwhelm of the world in crisis creates a strong pull to place and focus your attention on it. We can lose our place of peace and diminish our power in the Now.
Take time to recapture your power. Learn to focus your attention on you, where you are in the present moment. Pay attention to your energy. Are you tired? Is your energy good today? Do you feel well rested? Exhausted?
Take care of you. Allow relaxation and deep rest. It will restore your personal power and sharpen your ability to focus. Relaxation volleys us back into the eye of the storm. It creates space for peace of mind. And, it releases the energy of distraction and offers the power to choose what you want to focus on.
Do not let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace.
Dalai Lama
Acceptance of the Present Moment.
No matter what is happening, learn to accept the present moment. It is the first step to inner peace.
Gain strength. Gain resilience. Change perspective. Find solutions in a place of peace. These all align with resting in the eye of the storm.
The moment you completely accept your non-peace, your non-peace becomes transmuted into peace. Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace. This is the miracle of surrender.” (From “The Power of Now”)
Ekhart Tolle
It is easy to be pulled into a state of fear and disempowerment through events, people and conditions. When the response is panic, we can step into the eye of the storm through simple “observation” and acceptance of your “non-peace” [Ekhart Tolle].
Allow inner peace and empowerment. Sharpen your focus and ability to relax in the present moment. Short meditations are respites from distractions and disruptions to your place of peace. Simple changes will bring powerful results.
Peace be with you.
